Niko is looking to escape his past and make a new life for himself in the land of opportunity. Johnny, a veteran member of The Lost biker gang, is caught in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of the city. Luis, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (a.k.a. “Gay Tony”), is struggling with the competing loyalties of family and friends in a world in which everyone has a price. Their lives cross paths with devastating consequences as they fight to survive in a city torn apart by violence and corruption.

A hidden Gem.

I started my journey with GTA San Andreas when I was very young, playing along side my cousin, who was of age to own the game for PS2.

GTA V was my gate-way drug to the franchise and my first GTA game, GTA IV is a must, although less refined it holds up magnificently in 2023.

Ohh where do I start? Blast to the past. If you never played it, I recommend it 100%. Nice gfx, controls, and physics. But keep in mind it is still an old game. It's an awesome storyline with a couple of different endings. Also, as this is Complete Edition, it comes with Balad of Gay Tony as well.

It's definitely one of the greatest Grand Theft Auto titles of all time. The Storyline is well structured and the gameplay can last for hours. The only issue is getting this to work on Modern PCs. GTA IV has an awful PC Port, and Rockstar Games hasn't patched up anything after the countless fixes and releases. If you want to get this game to work on your PC, consult the PC Gaming Wiki. There are a lot of patches available and I used it to get it working on my PC. I also recommend the Steam version because the Steam Community has provided Multiple Guides to optimize GTA IV on PC.

Étant un grand fan de New York, GTA IV (Et ses épisodes Ballad Of Gay Tony et Lost and Damned) a toujours été un grand GTA pour moi, y rejouer sur PC était inévitable.
Cependant, déception assez grande en remarquant que le jeu n'est pas optimisé.
En effet qu'importe votre configuration PC, le jeu n'a pas été optimisé et donc n'est pas fluide.
MAIS, cela peut s'arranger avec quelques petites manipulations facilement trouvables sur Google même si pour certains ça marche et d'autres non.
C'est vraiment dommage quand tu peux jouer à GTA 5 avec une grande fluidité mais pas sur le 4. Les vieux jeux ont souvent ce problème là et nécessite donc plusieurs manipulations pour un fonctionnement "correct".
Je n'ai pas testé le multijoueur étant donné qu'il n'a pour moi jamais été intéressant, j'ai pu tester un Mod (Trainer) qui fonctionne plutôt bien.
En conclusion : Bon jeu mais pas optimisé.

very good old game.
Graphically, the game looks fantastic and completely justifies the status of the next generation. The textures are perfectly clean and varied, the models are excellent. Special praise goes with shadows and weather effects. One of the most beautiful scenes in the new GTA is riding the bridge on a sunny day, while the light goes through the bars and leaves the road through the rays of light and shadow. The rain is fine, realistic, and the same can be said for fog. The big jump has exploded, which are among the best I've ever seen in one game. The only minuses are still imperfect models of characters and there is this unstable frame rate, not so often that it still has trouble. With audio pages again brilliant. The radio station is 20 years old and has licensed music and entertainment news / shows. The slightest criticism is the lower quality of music than in the previous sequences, but you will regret it because you have something for everyone. You should not forget the stunning Glasshows for absolutely every character, where the job is done according to the highest possible standards. It is worth mentioning also the excellent physics of the Euphoria engine. In addition to the advanced version of the "customizable" ragdoll, which makes people even more comfortable with the cars hit by the car, cool the holes and hike through the windshield as soon as you hit a bit high speed.

Just great Grand Theft Auto. Not the best but still great, I think that San Andreas and newest GTA V is better. Main problem with GTA IV is that there is no counties or some deserts like in SA or V, but there is only one city. Also driving is very strange, and personally i feel like i'm in boat, not in car.

Can't play it. It says login is incorrect for social club, you tell it to run offline and it doesn't. Such a shame, I was looking forward to playing this game as well, I wish I had read the reviews on a certain other site :(
